Meet Loki

My new kitten was finally able to come home (after being sick at his foster home for awhile).

I've named him Loki. Loki is a giant from Norse mythology. He was a sly trickster. I'm sure my Loki will prove to follow in his footsteps.

Loki is scrawnier than Griffin ever was. He has long legs and a long, thin tail. He feels very light (though that might be due in part to his recent illness). Though Griffin isn't huge in comparison, size-wise, Griffin weighs a ton more and his paws are at least twice as big. Loki does not like to be alone. His new surroundings might contribute to this, but it seems he just likes company a lot.

Both Griffin and Loki acted very eager to meet each other, so I didn't keep them apart too long. Friday night and Saturday, Griffin wouldn't let Loki out of his sight. He followed him around, pouncing on him every 30 seconds or so. Griffin definitely wanted Loki to know who was boss. But soon Loki began fighting back and now the two seem to get along fine. The best moment was when Griffin and Loki slept by each other and Griffin began licking Loki's head.

Today they don't want to leave me alone. They were both sleeping on me as I watched TV this morning. Later, they both climbed into my desk chair with me. Needless to say, it's a little small for three of us, so I left and let them sleep together. (Griffin was pretty much on top of Loki, but neither seemed to mind it.)

If you want to see more pictures of Loki and Griffin, you can view my Facebook album here.
