Bon Jovi LIVE

Yes, I went to a Bon Jovi concert last week.  I heard plenty of teasing about it from c0-workers leading up to the time, but I think pretty much any of them would have had a great time there. After striking out in an attempt to get tickets in Chicago, I went to Nashville, Tenn., for the big show.

The range of ages at the concert really cracked me up; I saw teenagers in one place, but couples older than my parents in another.  And, of course, the 35- to 45-year-old females dominated the crowd.

Though the tour is the group's "Lost Highway" tour (their latest album), about 2/3 of the songs were from their classic albums.  Some "Bad Medicine," some "Blaze of Glory," some "You Give Love a Bad Name." And, of course, a little "Livin' on a Prayer."

Another highlight was the appearance of guest performers.  Big and Rich showed up to play the song they're in from Bon Jovi's latest album.  And LeAnn Rimes was on stage for her recent duet with Bon Jovi.

So, to all who doubted the enjoyment of a Bon Jovi concert, it was spectacular.  Maybe you'll be lucky enough to go yourself one day.
