Kitten on the way

For those who didn't know, I've been talking about getting a kitten for months now. For awhile I just didn't find any that sounded right for me. Then I didn't want to get a new pet right before I left town for a long weekend. So after Easter I dug in for a hardcore search. On Saturday I found my new kitten at an animal welfare society adoption fair at PetSmart. (I had done a bit of research beforehand and knew kittens would be there.)

He is 8 weeks old and still being neutered before I can bring him home, but he's officially mine. He should be in my apartment within 2 weeks. He is currently named Griffin, which I like and might stick with. But I'm also considering other name options. He is a dilute tiger kitten (LIGHT gray) with lots of white too. I have one photo but it isn't digital and it doesn't show his coat too well. So, I will post some pictures once he gets here.

I spent today kitten-proofing the apartment for his arrival. I did a thorough cleaning at the same time. I've bought all of the supplies I really NEED (litterbox, food, etc.), but I still have another trip to the store for scratching posts and toys.

Updates to come!

I think you like gray cats! How exciting for you! Good luck kitten proofing things...it never seems to work as well as you plan. I can't wait to see a picture!
