Glaze heaven

Southern Illinoisans: Do you like Larry's cookies from Marion? You have to have these. Or, at least make the glaze and stick it on the next batch of sugar cookies you make. If you follow the recipe, it's thinner than Larry's frosting, but it's pretty much the same flavor. I had to use some self-control to prevent myself from eating the leftover glaze with a spoon. (Of course, doing so probably would have landed me in sugar shock.)

Everyone else: Yes, these are good!

The cookies are angeletti, using a recipe I got from Real Simple. They're simple sugar-type cookies that puff up a bit. A number of mine had that perfectly mounded shape in the end; a few got a little flat but that was just a good excuse for me to snack on them.

I think I'll be making these throughout the year.

Drips of glaze and sprinkles. Yum!
