Packing light (looking for lessons)

My India trip is less than two months away. I made my first packing list today. Yikes! It looks really long, and it all has to fit in my travel pack. (I really think most of what I included was on the suggested list from my friend in India. Really.) Hmm ... this should be a big lesson to myself in packing light.
