America's cool armPitt(sburgh)

View from my seat at PNC Park.

I never had a strong pull to visit Pittsburgh, but one of my East Coast Cardinals fan friends was talking about heading up there to watch the Cardinals play, so I decided to take advantage of the chance to check it out and see Yadier Molina play again (oh yea, and the rest of the team).

Primanti Bros. cheesesteak, with their usual toppings of
slaw, fries and tomatoes. And an Iron City beer!
We ended up spending a total of about 24 hours in the city, so it was a quick trip. But we visited Primanti Bros. for a huge sandwich and Iron City beer. Then we walked through the Strip District and downtown and across the bridge to the stadium. We stopped at Mullen's, a cool and hopping pregame bar by the ballpark. Then we saw the Cardinals win 9-1! Our seats faced the river, so we had a great view out the stadium of the river and skyline. And after the game, they had a spectacular fireworks show on the river with accompanying music.

Before we headed out the next day, we ate breakfast at DeLuca's, "the best breakfast in town." I ordered the breakfast that included everything. Of course, I could only eat half. But it was delicious (eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, fresh-baked Italian bread toast and pancakes).
