| Before the oven: Snickers inside and Snickers on top. |
The Bakers Royale blog I follow had a streak of Snickers recipes lately, and I'm finally catching up to try them.
Last week, I made these Snickers cheesecake brownies for work. Not only were they great overall, the brownie would be excellent on its own — full of fudge flavor and texture.
Tonight, I made the bikini killer cookies. Yum! The chocolate chip cookie dough itself is excellent (and not that much more work, even though it has the browning butter step). It definitely does have that toffee flavor. And the Snickers baked inside. ... Well, how can you beat that?
My cookie dough didn't end up as firm as the blogger's, so I couldn't exactly fold it over. Instead, I did one scoop as a base, added the Snickers, then covered it up. The cookies also spread out a bit more than those in the photos on Bakers Royale. (Once again, I attribute this to my softer dough.) But they taste excellent!
