I'm a bit late with this post, but I have to include a nod to my Midwest trip more than a week ago. I went to Columbia, Mo., for a meeting of the alumni committee of which I'm a part. While there, I managed a stops at Harpo's (to drink lots of Boulevard Wheat), Tiger Spirit (because my 30 Mizzou shirts aren't enough) and Murry's (which confirmed why it's one of my all-time favorite restaurants).
I also made it to Faurot Field to see one Mizzou football game in person this season. Unfortunately, the football team didn't really show up until the second half, but at least the Tigers won in the end.
My parents came to Columbia at the same time, so I saw them and also visited with a few family friends in the area while I was there.
