Last year I entered the lottery for seats to the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. I never heard back.
This year I entered again, with little hope for success — and I got tickets!
Not only did I get tickets, I got seated tickets, which surprised me even more. They have 10,000 standing room only tickets, but they have only 3,000 seated tickets. So I guess 3,000 is a lot, but I never have luck in these situations so I figured I'd end up standing — or more likely not there at all.
The event is Dec. 9, so I'm sure I'll share pictures after that. It'll be an early birthday present to myself.
