Also called monster cookies, but I prefer the long name.
I got the recipe from the Frugal Girl, and I decided my co-worker's last day was the perfect occasion to try them. Two things to note: 1. They're really easy to make. Not that many ingredients (mostly just the ones mentioned) and not too much measuring (my kitchen is quite clean despite just making these). 2. They make a MONSTER batch. Make sure you have a large bowl (I do) and sturdy spoon (I don't), or aim for a half batch instead.

Note that a great Christmas present for me would be a large and very sturdy metal mixing spoon. :)
I don't think I need to tell you that these were tasty. (How could they not be?) I made mine with walnuts but no raisins. The volume of walnuts, though, pales in comparison to the very large amount of dough, so I would consider doubling the walnuts next time (though, in truth, they probably aren't really necessary as the oatmeal covers them up to some extent).

I didn't think you liked nuts in cookies!! These sound really good - how could they not be with all those goodies in them. Mom
