Midwest trip: Seersucker Thursday
My dad has a seersucker suit that he's very proud of. Jennifer saw a matching seersucker suit for Nolen, which she bought. They had planned to wear the suits together for an event over the summer, but it didn't work out. So when I was home, we decided to try to get some photos of them together.
We had toyed with the possibility of getting a professional photo of them shot while we had our family picture taken, but since Nolen had a 30-minute fit before he was ready to cooperate a bit for the family picture, we decided it wasn't worth trying to get him to change clothes for more photos.
So, instead, Dad came home from work early one day while Nolen was with us, and they both changed into their seersucker suits. Of course, Nolen is a 2-year-old so he still wasn't wild about posing for pictures. Instead, I followed the two of them around and tried to snap a few decent shots.
It also happened to be raining, so our plan to go outside didn't work out as well as hoped. However, it did offer Dad a chance to teach Nolen a lesson on wet and dry. Even after they finished, he would stand at the edge and point: "Wet. Dry."
