Another touristy weekend
So, about three weeks ago, I had my last of the spring visitors in town. Then, I got busy and never wrote about all the adventures we had.
Phil's visited started with a trip to Quarry House (just as all my others have ... I just like that place).
Friday, we went to the Spy Museum. It's been seven years since I've been there. It's one of the few not-free museums in D.C., but it was a good time. And we got there at the perfect hour and didn't have to wait in line. We had happy hour drinks and food at Vapiano's, then met up with some of my co-workers and got drinks at a few bars on U Street.
The plan for Saturday was to visit the Air and Space Museum, but once we were halfway there, we remembered there was a Japanese Festival going on that we had wanted to check out. So, we detoured to Pennsylvania Avenue and caught up with hordes of anime folks to peruse stalls of Japanese food and exhibits and listen to Japanese music. We also caught some martial arts demonstrations.
We made it to the Air and Space Museum on Sunday and checked out lots of planes and space exhibits. We also hopped in the flight simulator and shot down some enemy planes.

Okay...you win for most blog updates! : ) Sheesh...I can barely keep up with you!
I wanted to do the Spy Museum when we were in D.C., but since we were on a budget, it didn't happen. We did see the Air and Space Museum. My dad really enjoyed it!
